As a long-time resident and top real estate agent in Pacifica, I have come to know a lot about this little 6 mile stretch of land. Like it's name, Pacifica is a quiet, peaceful town that attracts surfers, artists and outdoor enthusiasts. Home to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Mori Point and Milagra Ridge — beautiful beaches and miles of coastal trails that go into the hills are all part of the lovely package that is Pacifica. Fisherman love to come here to the beaches or the Pacifica Pier to cast their lines in hopes of catching striped bass or salmon.
But Pacifica's appeal doesn't stop there. You can partake of live local theatre, performing arts and live music as well.
If you are a golfer, you will be inspired at the coastal Sharp Park Golf Course which was designed by a well known architect named Alister MacKenzie way back in 1931.
There are about 40,000 citizens of Pacifica, and before european settlers found it, Pacifica was home to several important Ohlone Indian villages. Speaking of that, Pacifica is the oldest discovery of the entire San Francisco Bay area. According to rumor, the entire bay area was so frequently shrouded in fog that settlers often drifted right by it. Consequently, Pacifica was founded by land dwellers, rather than naval explorers.
